Ram 1500 Vs. Ram 1500 Classic Design
The first thing you’ll notice is the redesigned exterior. Looking right at it from the front you’ll see a major change, the new Ram 1500 has done away with the signature crosshair grille and exchanged it for a modernized grille with a chrome slot variation or a mesh design. The new 1500’s body is longer, wider, and lighter, with a redesigned hood for a more aerodynamic look and performance. Luxury combines with the functionality from the 1500 Classic in the all-new 1500, thanks to luxurious wood and leather interior accenting and even more legroom than before to enjoy all of the top level features. Redesigned to bring a fresh look and highlight its luxury, the all-new Ram 1500 takes the classic designs and updates them for the modern pickup world.
Ram 1500 Vs. Ram 1500 Classic Performance
While both models have 5.7L HEMI® VVT V8 and 3.6L Pentastar™ V6 engines, the new Ram 1500’s options come with an added eTorque drivetrain, which pushes an extra 90 and 130 lb-ft of torque, respectively, out of the engines. The towing and payload capability is beefed up, with the Ram 1500 Classic only managing 10,710 lbs of towing and a payload up to 1,920 lbs, while the new 1500 can take on 12,750 lbs of towing and 2,300 lbs of a max payload. With its larger size, the all-new Ram 1500 can take more in its box (up to 1,521 L), so you can haul more and make less trips. Supremely capable, the new Ram 1500 steps up to get the job done.
Ram 1500 Vs. Ram 1500 Classic Technology
The luxury improvements in the new 1500 don’t just stop with its look, they continue into the technology inside, too. The Uconnect® 4 system, which houses all of your connective navigation, media and communication, has been upgraded for the new 1500, providing a huge 12-inch touchscreen that you can easily control for easy interactivity. The screen can be reconfigured for your preference and even split to give you two separate screens. The addition of a wireless charging pad truly brings the Ram 1500 into the modern world, making sure your devices will be charged when you need them most. Upping the ante over the technology in the original 1500, the new 1500 presents a high-quality multimedia centre.
